Quality Training Program in Classical Ballet for 6-8 years old

The Preparatory Program offers children age 6-8 years the opportunity to be trained in classical ballet by the highly qualified ACB Staff on a regular one class per week basis for Pre-Primary and two classes per week for Primary. The Preparatory Program gives the students a sound basis in classical ballet training.

As with the Specialized Coaching Program, the student numbers in each of the classical ballet classes in the Preparatory Program are limited to a maximum of 12 to ensure students are given individual attention in their training.

The Preparatory Program is a two year program and students are given a comprehensive report each year. Assessment for entry into the Specialized Coaching Program is conducted annually. Preparatory Program students participate in the School Dance Displays. Production involvement is by invitation only for the Preparatory Program students.

The Preparatory Program uses the Australian Conservatoire of Ballet training and assessment program based on the Russian Vaganova based method of classical ballet training.
